Dyami HUF by Consul o/o Dark Yester xx (Dark Hyacinth)
Colt born April 18, 2008 Sire Consul, was 2004 South Pacific Award winner as highest ranked US based sire of Jumpers and he produces big scopey jumpers, elegant movers and athletes like their grandfather, the Preferent stallion Nimmerdor, who is still remembered as one of the leading producers of jumpers in Holland. During Consul’s impressive breeding career he has produced a licensed son, an approved son, 52 Star mares and geldings, 9 Keur mares and 61 first premium foals—and the numbers grow every year. Consul's dam, Waloniki descends from the mother line of the NIKI pedigree which begins in 1884 with the mare Bonte Fritsje. She was born on the island Ameland in Holland. A very important mare in the mother line is the mare Zonnestraal (v. Oberon). In combination with the stallion Rheinsohn starts a sideline, which results in the KWPN aproved keur stallion Notaris (v. Courville xx). Zonnestraal also brought the mare Rikuna. This mare is the grand mother of the mare NIKI B (v. Sineada). This is the real beginning of the NIKI pedigree. Niki B became a model, preferent, prestatie mare and brought, in combination with the stallion Erdball xx, the famous showjumper Apollo (v. Erdball xx). This horse has won the Grand-Prix of CHIO Aaken in two following years, with his rider the famous Nick Skelton. The KWPN aproved stallions Equador (v. Joost) and Zeno (v. Oldenburg) also are offspring from the NIKI pedigree. In Combination with the Trakehner stallion Kassander, Niki B brought Aniki. This mare brought, in combination with the Holsteiner international showjumping stallion Joost, the aproved international showjumping stallion Palfrenier (v. Joost) ridden by Hap Hansen. This combination (Aniki * Joost) also brought the mare Raniki, which is the mother of the KWPN aproved stallion Consul (v. Nimmerdor). This stallion is being used in the USA at this moment. The same combination (Aniki * Joost), also brought the mare Zaniki. This mare is the mother of the KWPN aproved stallion Ekstein (v. Zion). This stallion is now being used in Ireland for breeding. With the mare Zaniki begins the building of the NIKI-pedigree at the Nikistables of the family Hartlief in Holland. Nimmerdor also competed successfully in World Cups, Grand Prix and forfeited his place at the Olympics in order to fulfill his stud requirements. Nimmerdor produced over 50 approved stallions and over 60 progeny who have competed at international level in sport. He is approved by almost every sport horse and warmblood breed society and has been awarded preferant status by the KWPN (the highest possible award for stallion recognition). Nimmerdor represents one of the most influential 'founding' sires of the Dutch Warmblood - Farn. In 2000, Nimmerdor was elected 'the stallion of the 20th century' in the Netherlands Farn made a name for himself with many offspring excelling at international jumping events. Farn's offspring include Odin N, Black and White Design, Nimmerdor, and Olympus. Several of Farn's sons have been approved, including the famous stallion Nimmerdor. Farn was born in Holstein and descends from the Achill or 'F' line that began in 1877. At the time of his death Farn left 18 approved sons, and 37 approved grandsons. His son Aram was the sire of Olympic gold medalist, De Sjiem, and two stallion sons - Faram and Graham. Purioso has taken a very special position. As an absolute all rounder, he is the founder of specialized show jumping and dressage pedigree lines. Purioso has 5 sons approved with the KWPN, Bently, Cantor, Cocktail, Faldo and Prince Paradiso R. Four KWPN approved sons come out of a Purioso mother. One is Consul (sire Nimmerdor) and still active in the US at the Iron Spring Farm. The most well-known offspring of Purioso in sport are Olympic Wendela, Olympic Ambush and Olympic Cocktail. Wendela and Cocktail are 2 very different horses in different disciplines, one at the highest level of Jumping the other of Dressage. Dam Dark Yester (aka Sundie) is a Thoroughbred mare. Her sire, Dark Hyacinth by Jacinto out of Fine Call by Tom Fool, has consistently been ranked in the USEF Top 10 Hunter breed sires. Examples of his Hunter Breed champions include Black Hyacinth - Champion Yearling, Best Young Horse American Royal 2002; Red Hyacinth - Zone 7, 3 year old Champion, 4th in the Nation Hunter Breeding 2003, Undefeated in 3 years Hunter Breeding including the American Royal 2003; Glenwood - undefeated in 7 straight HBA & AA 2 year old and Best Young Horse Competitions, including St. Louis Charity Horse Show and American Royal. Precipitation has made a major contribution to the sporthorse world by siring Furioso xx, who in France sired ten Olympic show jumpers and the extremely influential warmblood sire, Furioso II. While Precipitation's influence on jumping horses has long been recognized, some of the most exciting dressage horses in the world today trace their ancestry to this great sire. The Oldenburg stallion, Welt As - sire of World Champion, Olympic Bonfire - is out of Elfene, by Furioso II, and Anky van Grunsven's other great dressage horse, Olympic Cocktail, is by Purioso, by Furioso xx. The Bold Ruler/Nasrullah/Nearco line is a prolific sire of international show jumping champions. The effect of the Nearco line has been felt strongly in Europe and in America in the pedigrees of jumpers. In Europe, Lucky Boy, the sire of the leading Grand Prix jumper Calypso (winner of over $100,000 in purses and 1982 FEI World Cup winner), is a grandson of Nearco. Lucky Boy is a popular jumping sire who also sired Van Gogh, a Swiss jumper and member of the 1982 Nations Cup winning team in Lucerne, and the jumper Sassakiss. In North America the influence of Nearco in jumpers has been exceptional. Australis, a member of the Canadian Equestrian Team, was out of a daughter of Nearco. Big Dee, also a member of the Canadian Equestrian Team and a gold medal winner in the Mexico Olympics, was sired by *Unsinatus, an imported grandson of Nearco. Another grandson of Nearco in North America was the Thoroughbred stallion The Hammer. The Hammer sired many steeplechasers and show jumpers, including Sympatico, the leading Grand Prix horse in North America for several years, and member of the Canadian Equestrian Team. The Hammer also sired the United States Equestrian Team jumper Golden Gavel. Chase The Clouds, rated one of the leading jumpers in the world in 1979 and 1980, descends from Nearco three times. Bold Ruler, by *Nasrullah, a son of Nearco, sired the jumper Mighty Ruler, a Grand Prix winner and member of the United States Equestrian Team at the Pan American Games in Mexico. Bold Ruler is the grandsire of Allegro, a member of the gold medal team in the Pan American Games in 1969 and third placed jumper at the 1979 World Cup in Sweden. |
