Devonnis HUF by Judgement ISF o/o Klassik Gold Foal One of the most exciting Jumper pedigrees for 2008 Colt born April 23, 2008 SireAt the age of 17, Judgement ISF continues to amaze. In five competitions at Spruce Meadows in June 2008, Judgement ISF had two first places, one second and one third, earning nearly $128,000, including his third consecutive win in the prestigious Nexen Cup Derby (formerly the Shell Cup Derby). Four four-year-olds, including three young stallions shared top honors at the International Jumper Futurity Eastern Regional at the Duke Charity Horse Show on November 8, 2007 including Judgement Call, a tobiano from the first crop by Judgement, earning his award in the Best Performance and a Reserve in Best Type. In 2002 Judgement passed another milestone in an already impressive jumping career. He was awarded the Crown predicate by the KWPN. Crown is a performance predicate awarded to stallions, mares and geldings competing on an international level. To be considered, horses must have been individually listed in the World Breeding Federation for Sport Horses (200 top-ranked dressage horses and 400 top-ranked jumping horses). Only two other stallions hold this predicate in the U.S. including Judgement's stable mate – Rampal.
Judgement's sire, Consul, was 2004 South Pacific Award winner as highest ranked US based sire of Jumpers and he produces big scopey jumpers, elegant movers and athletes like their grandfather, the Preferent stallion Nimmerdor, who is still remembered as one of the leading producers of jumpers in Holland. During Consul’s impressive breeding career he has produced a licensed son, an approved son, 52 Star mares and geldings, 9 Keur mares and 61 first premium foals—and the numbers grow every year. Consul's dam, Waloniki descends from the mother line of the NIKI pedigree which begins in 1884 with the mare Bonte Fritsje. She was born on the island Ameland in Holland. A very important mare in the mother line is the mare Zonnestraal (v. Oberon). In combination with the stallion Rheinsohn starts a sideline, which results in the KWPN approved keur stallion Notaris (v. Courville xx). Zonnestraal also brought the mare Rikuna. This mare is the grand mother of the mare NIKI B (v. Sineada). This is the real beginning of the NIKI pedigree. Niki B became a model, preferent, prestatie mare and brought, in combination with the stallion Erdball xx, the famous showjumper Apollo (v. Erdball xx). This horse has won the Grand-Prix of CHIO Aaken in two following years, with his rider the famous Nick Skelton. The KWPN approved stallions Equador (v. Joost) and Zeno (v. Oldenburg) also are offspring from the NIKI pedigree. In Combination with the Trakehner stallion Kassander, Niki B brought Aniki. This mare brought, in combination with the Holsteiner international showjumping stallion Joost, the approved international showjumping stallion Palfrenier (v. Joost) ridden by Hap Hansen. This combination (Aniki * Joost) also brought the mare Raniki, which is the mother of the KWPN approved stallion Consul (v. Nimmerdor). This stallion is being used in the USA at this moment. The same combination (Aniki * Joost), also brought the mare Zaniki. This mare is the mother of the KWPN approved stallion Ekstein (v. Zion). This stallion is now being used in Ireland for breeding. With the mare Zaniki begins the building of the NIKI-pedigree at the Nikistables of the family Hartlief in Holland. Nimmerdor also competed successfully in World Cups, Grand Prix and forfeited his place at the Olympics in order to fulfill his stud requirements. Nimmerdor produced over 50 approved stallions and over 60 progeny who have competed at international level in sport. He is approved by almost every sport horse and warmblood breed society and has been awarded preferant status by the KWPN (the highest possible award for stallion recognition). Nimmerdor represents one of the most influential 'founding' sires of the Dutch Warmblood - Farn. Farn was born in Holstein and descends from the Achill or 'F' line that began in 1877. At the time of his death he left 18 approved sons, and 37 approved grandsons. His son Aram was the sire of Olympic gold medalist, De Sjiem, and two stallion sons - Faram and Graham. In 2000, Nimmerdor was elected 'the stallion of the 20th century' in the Netherlands Akteur sired the international show jumping full brothers Tepic La Silla winner of a bronze medal at the 2003 European championships and Shurlands Governor. Akteur competed in international showjumping until he was 18 years old. He also the sired Creool and is the damsire of Aktion, Judgement and Luidam; all these are KWPN-stallions with a brilliant record of service in the international dressage or showjumping. Dam Klassik Gold is an imported German Trakehner mare. Klassik Gold's pedigree combines the families that have produced Abdullah, 1984 Olympic gold medalist in show jumping, Kostolany (Klassik Gold is a 3/4 sister to Kapstadt, Kostolany's dam), Enrico Caruso, Grannus and 2002 Trakehner Stallion of the Year - Hohenstein. Klassik Gold's sire, Heimherr, was a successful S-Level international show jumper and is the sire of Bernstein 65 and Hickory 13. Klassik Gold's dam sire, Falke, succeeded in dressage tests up to advanced level in USA. Three of his sons are approved sires and he also produced the championess of the national broodmare show at Verden - Kleeblatt. He is grandfather of Champion Sire KOSTOLANY and Reserve-Champion TROCADERO. Klassik Gold's dam, Kadmeia has 5 offspring competing in Germany, three of which are full siblings to Klassik Gold. The basis of this jumper line is the premium mare Kaprice II, who produced the mare Kapriziöse (dam of the ATA's Kaspareit as well as the approved Kapuccino; FEI show jumper), as well as the mare Karben, dam of Karon and second dam to Kostolany!. She is also dam of the performance mare Kaskade (by Fabian), herself successful at M level jumping, and dam of the S level show jumper Karajan. Kaprice II descends from the strain of Kassandra who brought the Olympic horse Immanuel as well as several sires (for example Kadett, Kapitän, Karneol and Kassius, not to forget DLG and national broodmare championesse Kassiopeia. Kassandra is a product of the infamous Kasette mare line. Readers of the Performance Issue of The American Trakehner may remember the Kassette mare line article. Kassandra was Kassette's most famous daughter and produced three approved sons in Webelsgrund, all sired by Impuls: Kapitän, Karneol and Kassius. Especially Kassius was able to produce a great number of excellent sport horses for any discipline, while Karneol was stationed in Tchecheslovacia where he gained a huge influence on the local warmblood breed. Additionally, the combination of Kassandra and Impuls brought the Olympic performer Kassim and several outstandingly important brood mares like the DLG winner Kasseiopeia and Kassia (dam of the approved Kassio and Kaspar). Kasseiopeia and Kaprice became foundation brood mares of Otto Langel's famous Hämelschenburg stud, where Kasseiopeia produced Kassiber and Kastillo, both by another recognized Webelsgrund sire: Ibikus (by Hertilas out of Isolda by Impuls). Also, Kassius, a full brother to Klassik Gold's maternal granddam Kaprice, when bred to ES Susi (by Cesar, making her a half sister to Heimherr) produced Suchard who may be the most spectacular jumper the Trakehner breed has ever seen. His unlimited power, allowed him to seemingly stand still in mid-air when jumping. He was the first Trakehner stallion approved by the strictly Holstein-oriented Belgium Zangersheide stud book. Suchard's son Balisto was approved in NMS under the name Babelsberg in 1995 and was awarded the best jumper prize in combination with a premium title for his overall quality. His international career as a show jumper started in Italy, where he competed for the famous designer Benetton. Balisto won the Grand Prix in Midena and competed for several Italian Nations Cup teams. In 2003, the world-famous breeder of show jumpers, Leon Melchior, bought the bay to serve as his 16 year old daughter's school master for her transition to the international level. Balisto Z, after his sire Suchard, is the second Trakehner ever approved by Zangersheide, Another Suchard son, Lessen, was approved in Neumünster in 2002 as a premium stallion and "best jumper" of the crop. Kyrill, out of Kamee IV, a full sister to Klassik Gold, has been accepted for approval in Neumünster in 2007. Seventy percent (49 of 70) of the stallions accepted for approval in 2007 at Neumünster carry blood from the Kasette mare line. Ozean by Ernest out of Selmar by Bürge, proved to be one of the breed's most prepotent jumper sires, and not only manifested his line through his excellent son Cesar, but also through his Hanoverian daughter Odessa, dam of the century sire Grannus. Ozean is also the dam sire of the Hanoverian stallion Weingraf, the top show jumper Graziella, and the popular Allegro (at stud in Denmark). In the Trakehner breed, apart from Cesar, he also sired the influential mares Ethis and Passarge (the latter dam of the important jumper sire Passat). Sir Graditz by Inster Graditz out of ES Susi by Cesar won some of Great Britain's biggest Young Horse Championships and has had major success at the Royal Horse Show and other, internationally recognized events. Carajan is considered to be one of the ultimate Trakehner jumpers of all time and has sired an outstanding number of top level show jumpers. Biene by Carajan was a leading German show jumper under Hugo Simon. She was a team member at several National Cups for Germany and used for puissant jumper shows. Impuls progeny won the most prestigious young horse competition of the world, the German National Championships 14 times. Maharadscha won Second Prize at the 1962 DLG Exhibition in Munich. He sired 11 graded sons and 82 stud book mares, including German Elite mare Abiza (dam of Abdullah) and Fawiza (dam of Falke and Fabian).
