Jazz is sired by the legendary dressage stallion Olympic Cocktail. Olympic Cocktail was himself KWPN HOY in 1995 and ridden by the world champion Anky Van Grunsven. In 2002 at "Zwollse Paardendagen" he achieved third place in the category of "Best Stallion". In addition, Jazz was Indoor Champion at NBVR and competed in the 2002 World Equestrian Games in Jerez, Spain. Jazz strongly passes on his qualities to his offspring. This is demonstrated by their results in the show ring and at sporting events. His oldest progeny are now competing at Prix St. George level. He has 6 licensed sons "Broere Norway, Olivi, Riant, Tango, Johnson, and Jazz Time". Jazz scored very high on his basic gaits at his stallion testing, Walk 8, Trot 9.5, Canter 8.5 Some of the many achievements of his offspring are listed below: PAVO CUP Champions include:

USA Champions include:
In 2000 and 2001 Jazz was the sire with the largest number of offspring competing in the finals at the PAVO Cup, Paster (damsire Ariban), Riant (damsire Julio Mariner) and Royal Dancer (damsire Fruhling) Pylotti (damsire Samber). The 2001 champion, Paster with Madeleine Vrees was described by the ‘Horse Press’ as follows: "Looseness, tact, space, self carriage, silhouette and elevation are present in all three of his basic gaits." At the pre-selections for the 2002/2003 stallion show in s’Hertogenbosch, four Jazz sons were sent through to the second selection phase. Michelangelo is descended from foundation Trakehner bloodlines (Pasteur xx x Matador x Kosmos). Michelangelo's career as stud has had quite a few outstanding moments. Celebrated sons were presented at approvals in Germany, The Netherlands and Denmark. Out of his first foal crop, the champion stallion Kennedy and the premium stallion Guy Laroche resulted. Michelangelo's son Michelino, bred in the Netherlands, is a successful sire in Denmark. In 1998, two Michelangelo sons were approved in Germany: the reserve champion Hirtenruf and Kensington, full brother to Kennedy. Monteverdi, champion stallion in 1998 is also a son of Michelangelo's dam Miami. Also in 1998, Michelangelo produced the champion mare at the central inspections in The Netherlands. His daughter Schneeflocke, the highest priced auction mare in Neumünster, placed 4th in her age-group at the National Mare Show (all breeds) in Neustadt-Dosse, Germany. In 1999 the Michelangelo-son Hölderlin was approved, and in 2000, his son, Summertime, was awarded a premium title at approval. Michelangelo is also the dam's sire of the Trakehner Grand Champion mare Lantana. In 2001 the Oldenburg premium stallion Mon Dieux by Michelangelo was approved. Michelangelo scores 158 points on his Breeding Value, which is a score so far unsurpassed. Michelangelo was named 2006 Trakehner Stallion of the year. "Michelangelo, one of the best active Trakehner hereditors in the breeding value estimation (mares) since 2000, was proclaimed as "Trakehner Stallion of the Year". For every year since 1995, this title has been awarded to a significant sire which combines the ability to perform at an exceptional level and to produce performance offspring. So, EH. Michelangelo was honored as one of the most significant stallions alive in 2006. His pedigree stands for best Trakehner type, excellent, solid and prepotent traits. 14 approved sons continue his stallion line in Germany and internationally. Michelangelo, successful in dressage to German class S, gives his ability in dressage, jumping and cross-country to his offspring, who have excellent rideability. Olympic Cocktail was awarded Horse of the Year in 1995. With his rider Anky van Grunsven he won an incredible number of Grand Prix, Specials and Kürs to Music. Cocktail is father of the approved stallions: Havel, Hierarch, Jazz, Jordan, Hucarlos and Hawthorne. Furthermore Cocktail is the leading sire on the Dutch Dressage Index. His offspring start to show at Prix St. Georges level. His son Havel for instance won the Prix St. Georges at Leeuwarden. Cocktail was made a "Keur" stallion in 1998. Olympic Cocktail's sire, Purioso, is the sporthorse producer of the 90's as much for dressage as jumping, with three "Olympic" children, namely Olympic Wendela, Olympic Ambush and Olympic Cocktail. Purioso is a son of the leading German stallion Furioso II. Furioso II, who has at least 70 approved sons, influenced breeding world wide. The full brother of Furioso II is the French stallion Mexico, whose son Le Mexico is a familiar name as a producer of sporthorses in the Netherlands. Cocktail's dam is the "keur preferent" mare Ulissa. She is also the mother of the KWPN approved stallion Falco. Further back in the pedigree we find the excellent moving Trakehner stallion Hessel. In the fourth generation we find the Holsteiner stallion Antonio (v. Anblick xx). Anblick also sired the dominant breeding stallion Aldato and the Olympic Dressage horses of Josef Neckermann, Venetia and Antoinette. Renowned Get of Olympic Cocktail include:
The Dutch Warmblood Grand Prix dressage stallion, Aktion, was owned and ridden by Gyula Dallos of Hungary in World Cup and Olympic Competition. Aktion is listed in the top ten most successful dressage sires of Europe. Pasteur xx is a naturally good mover and has the outline and suitability of a higher level dressage horse - being trained now to the M level. The stallion has been used heavily by Trakehner and Rhineland breeders because he gives his progeny special rideability, good size, agile paces and the best temperament. At present, he has 11 daughters registered in the Trakehner Verband Stud Book; his sons Marlon, Kant, Mahagoni and Falkner are approved stallions. Because of their outstanding quality, Marlon, Mahagoni, the Patron son Mackensen and their first-class dam Maharani by Flaneur recently were declared champion of the family class at the Rhineland Show at Sonsbeck. On Capello's dam side we find Eros, a Belgian import from the world-class Hanoverian lines of Duft II and Fling. He is by the remarkable thoroughbred sire, Alcanar xx whose name can be found in the pedigree of international stars and breeding stallions across Europe including BWP international dressage champion Mister Saygon. Eros' grandsire, Flugel van la Roche, is the foundation sire of the modern Belgian Warmblood. Eros' bloodlines are internationally recognized for producing top-notch jumpers and dressage horses. His dam is also a national show jumping champion. Capello's maternal grandsire, Zorn, was the 1990 - AHSA Grand Prix Champion. In 1988 he was short listed for the Olympic Team and competed in GP in Europe, qualifying for GP Special each time. In 1987, Zorn was USDF Horse of the Year in Intermediare I and PSG. Tip Top 962 is a 3 time Swedish National Dressage Champion. Other Chagall dressage horses include Chapman 757, Taktik, Leroy, Genius, Nurejev III and Chirac 611. A little further back we also find Gaspari 340, who is arguably one of the most renowned Dressage stallions in history, was an International Grand Prix competitor that participated in the 1960 and 1964 Olympics. His very famous son, Piaffe, won the European Championships in 1969 and 1971, the individual gold medal at the Munich Olympics 1972 and the silver medal at the World Championships in Aachen in 1970 and again in Copenhagen in 1974.
