Klassik Gold (By Heimherr o/o Kadmeia by Falke)

Klassik Gold is an imported German Trakehner mare.  Klassik Gold's pedigree combines the families that have produced Abdullah, 1984 Olympic gold medalist in show jumping, Kostolany (Klassik Gold is a 3/4 sister to Kapstadt, Kostolany's dam), Enrico Caruso, Grannus and 2002 Trakehner Stallion of the Year - Hohenstein.

Klassik Gold's sire, Heimherr, was a successful S-Level international show jumper and is the sire of Bernstein 65 and Hickory 13.  Klassik Gold's dam sire, Falke, succeeded in dressage tests up to advanced level in USA. Three of his sons are approved sires and he also produced the championess of the national broodmare show at Verden - Kleeblatt. He is grandfather of Champion Sire KOSTOLANY and Reserve-Champion TROCADERO.

Klassik Gold's dam, Kadmeia has 5 offspring competing in Germany, three of which are full siblings to Klassik Gold. The basis of this jumper line is the premium mare Kaprice II, who produced the mare Kapriziöse (dam of the ATA's Kaspareit as well as the approved Kapuccino; FEI show jumper), as well as the mare Karben, dam of Karon and second dam to Kostolany!. She is also dam of the performance mare Kaskade (by Fabian), herself successful at M level jumping, and dam of the S level show jumper Karajan.

Kaprice II descends from the strain of Kassandra who brought the Olympic horse Immanuel as well as several sires (for example Kadett, Kapitän, Karneol and Kassius, not to forget DLG and national broodmare championesse Kassiopeia.  Kassandra is a product of the infamous Kasette mare line.  Readers of the Performance Issue of The American Trakehner may remember the Kassette mare line article. Kassandra was Kassette's most famous daughter and produced three approved sons in Webelsgrund, all sired by Impuls: Kapitän, Karneol and Kassius. Especially Kassius was able to produce a great number of excellent sport horses for any discipline, while Karneol was stationed in Tchecheslovacia where he gained a huge influence on the local warmblood breed. Additionally, the combination of Kassandra and Impuls brought the Olympic performer Kassim and several outstandingly important brood mares like the DLG winner Kasseiopeia and Kassia (dam of the approved Kassio and Kaspar). Kasseiopeia and Kaprice became foundation brood mares of Otto Langel's famous Hämelschenburg stud, where Kasseiopeia produced Kassiber and Kastillo, both by another recognized Webelsgrund sire: Ibikus (by Hertilas out of Isolda by Impuls).  Also, Kassius, a full brother to Klassik Gold's maternal granddam Kaprice, when bred to ES Susi (by Cesar, making her a half sister to Heimherr) produced Suchard who may be the most spectacular jumper the Trakehner breed has ever seen.   His unlimited power, allowed him to seemingly stand still in mid-air when jumping. He was the first Trakehner stallion approved by the strictly Holstein-oriented Belgium Zangersheide stud book. Suchard's son Balisto was approved in NMS under the name Babelsberg in 1995 and was awarded the best jumper prize in combination with a premium title for his overall quality.  His international career as a show jumper started in Italy, where he competed for the famous designer Benetton. Balisto won the Grand Prix in Midena and competed for several Italian Nations Cup teams.  In 2003, the world-famous breeder of show jumpers, Leon Melchior, bought the bay to serve as his 16 year old daughter's school master for her transition to the international level. Balisto Z, after his sire Suchard, is the second Trakehner ever approved by Zangersheide, Another Suchard son, Lessen, was approved in Neumünster in 2002 as a premium stallion and "best jumper" of the crop. Kyrill, out of Kamee IV, a full sister to Klassik Gold, has been accepted for approval in Neumünster in 2007.  Seventy percent (49 of 70) of the stallions accepted for approval in 2007 at Neumünster carry blood from the Kasette mare line.

Ozean by Ernest out of Selmar by Bürge,  proved to be one of the breed's most prepotent jumper sires, and not only manifested his line through his excellent son Cesar, but also through his Hanoverian daughter Odessa, dam of the century sire Grannus.  Ozean is also the dam sire of the Hanoverian stallion Weingraf, the top show jumper Graziella, and the popular Allegro (at stud in Denmark). In the Trakehner breed, apart from Cesar, he also sired the influential mares Ethis and Passarge (the latter dam of the important jumper sire Passat).  Sir Graditz by Inster Graditz out of ES Susi by Cesar won some of Great Britain's biggest Young Horse Championships and has had major success at the Royal Horse Show and other, internationally recognized events. Carajan is considered to be one of the ultimate Trakehner jumpers of all time and has sired an outstanding number of top level show jumpers.  Biene by Carajan was a leading German show jumper under Hugo Simon. She was a team member at several National Cups for Germany and used for puissant jumper shows.

Impuls progeny won the most prestigious young horse competition of the world, the German National Championships 14 times.

Maharadscha won Second Prize at the 1962 DLG Exhibition in Munich. He sired 11 graded sons and 82 stud book mares, including German Elite mare Abiza (dam of Abdullah) and Fawiza (dam of Falke and Fabian).

Dark Yester (By Dark Hyacinth o/o Yester Day by Master Pruner)

Sundie is a Thoroughbred mare.  Her sire, Dark Hyacinth by Jacinto out of Fine Call by  Tom Fool, has consistently been ranked in the USEF Top 10 Hunter breed sires.  Examples of his Hunter Breed champions include Black Hyacinth - Champion Yearling, Best Young Horse American Royal 2002;  Red Hyacinth - Zone 7, 3 year old Champion, 4th in the Nation Hunter Breeding 2003, Undefeated in 3 years Hunter Breeding including the American Royal 2003;  Glenwood - undefeated in 7 straight HBA & AA 2 year old and Best Young Horse Competitions, including St. Louis Charity Horse Show and American Royal.

Precipitation has made a major contribution to the sporthorse world by siring Furioso xx, who in France sired ten Olympic show jumpers and the extremely influential warmblood sire, Furioso II.  While Precipitation's influence on jumping horses has long been recognized, some of the most exciting dressage horses in the world today trace their ancestry to this great sire. The Oldenburg stallion, Welt As - sire of World Champion, Olympic Bonfire - is out of Elfene, by Furioso II, and Anky van Grunsven's other great dressage horse, Olympic Cocktail, is by Purioso, by Furioso xx.

The Bold Ruler/Nasrullah/Nearco line is a prolific sire of international show jumping champions.

The effect of the Nearco line has been felt strongly in Europe and in America in the pedigrees of jumpers. In Europe, Lucky Boy, the sire of the leading Grand Prix jumper Calypso (winner of over $100,000 in purses and 1982 FEI World Cup winner), is a grandson of Nearco. Lucky Boy is a popular jumping sire who also sired Van Gogh a Swiss jumper and member of the 1982 Nations Cup winning team in Lucerne, and the jumper Sassakiss.

In North America the influence of Nearco in jumpers has been exceptional. Australis, a member of the Canadian Equestrian Team. previously mentioned, was out of a daughter of Nearco. Big Dee, also a member of the Canadian Equestrian Team and a gold medal winner in the Mexico Olympics, was sired by *Unsinatus, an imported grandson of Nearco.  Another grandson of Nearco in North America was the Thoroughbred stallion The Hammer. The Hammer sired many steeplechasers and show jumpers, including Sympatico, the leading Grand Prix horse in North America for several years, and member of the Canadian Equestrian Team. The Hammer also sired the United States Equestrian Team jumper Golden Gavel. Chase The Clouds, rated one of the leading jumpers in the world in 1979 and 1980, descends from Nearco three times.

Bold Ruler, by *Nasrullah, a son of Nearco, sired the jumper Mighty Ruler, a Grand Prix winner and member of the United States Equestrian Team at the Pan American Games in Mexico. Bold Ruler is the grandsire of Allegro, a member of the gold medal team in the Pan American Games in 1969 and third placed jumper at the 1979 World Cup in Sweden.
